Cavaliers,
We are actively monitoring the weather conditions around graduation this evening at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Please remember that The Pavilion is a rain or shine venue; however, lightning in the area could impact lawn seating availability and may temporarily delay portions of the ceremony.
Due to the safety of all participants and the impending severe weather forecast later in the evening, we will make the following adjustments to tonight’s ceremony procedures:
There will be no graduate processional.
Graduates should report directly to their assigned seats no later than 7:10 PM.
Pavilion gates will open at 6:00 PM.
Graduates are permitted to wear tennis shoes due to the expected weather conditions and potentially slippery surfaces.
At this time, graduation is still expected to proceed as scheduled. Families attending should prepare for heavy traffic, possible rain, and wet or slippery conditions around the venue. Please allow extra travel time to ensure timely arrival.
We also encourage all guests to review The Pavilion’s prohibited items policy prior to arrival to help expedite entry into the venue.
If lightning creates a “Shelter In Place” situation, the ceremony will be temporarily stopped, and announcements will be made throughout the venue. Instructions will also be displayed on the Pavilion LED screens directing guests to designated shelter locations, which may include:
The upper back aisle of the seating area
Front-of-house restrooms
The Pavilion Event Center
Graduates will be escorted to designated holding areas until it is safe to resume the ceremony. Parents and guests may also be required to seek shelter in designated areas outside of their seating locations.
Per Pavilion safety procedures, concessions and merchandise stands located outside designated shelter areas will temporarily close during a shelter-in-place event.
The ceremony will resume once an “All Clear” has been issued. Generally, this occurs after 30 minutes without a lightning strike within a six-mile radius of the Pavilion. Guests will then be directed back to their ticketed seating areas.
Families may also wish to take advantage of the live stream option available through the Conroe ISD YouTube channel, where the graduation ceremony will be streamed live.
To stay weather aware and receive updates directly from The Pavilion, families may:

We are proud to share incredible news from our Practicum in Health Science program—our students achieved a 100% certification pass rate this year!
Certification Highlights:
Pharmacy Technicians: 7 students
Dental Assistants: 4 students
Patient Care Technicians: 30 students
These students have done an exceptional job representing College Park High School and Conroe ISD within the medical community. Their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence have truly set them apart.
Even more impressive, nine students have already received job offers from their clinical and pharmacy placements, with several others invited to return after graduation to begin their careers. This is a testament to the real-world skills and experiences they have gained through the program.
Beyond certifications, our students are leaving this program with something even more valuable, confidence, experience, and a strong foundation for their future in healthcare.
This success is made possible by the strength of our Health Science Pathway and the dedication of our outstanding educators, including Mrs. Hruska, Ms. Hall and Ms. Richards, who work tirelessly to support and mentor our students every step of the way.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to our campus and district CTE leadership for their continued support in making opportunities like this possible.
Please join us in congratulating these remarkable students on their achievements!
WE ARE COLLEGE PARK!!
The joy, laughter, and stress relief these pups brought our campus was incredible. Our teachers and staff truly appreciated the chance to recharge and connect (and get lots of puppy snuggles).
We are so grateful to Operation Pets Alive for supporting our staff in such a meaningful way.
Thank you for making our day brighter!

Our UIL Academics team delivered a historic performance at their recent competition hosted at Baylor University, earning record-breaking results and continuing a tradition of excellence!
As a team, College Park finished 3rd overall in Sweepstakes, just 4 points shy of 1st place, an incredible accomplishment against top competition from across the region.
Even more exciting, 8 of our students have qualified for the State Tournament in May, where they will look to defend our State Title and build on last year’s success. We are incredibly proud of their dedication, preparation, and performance.
Individual Results:
Sarah Synek – Regional Champion, Informative Speaking
Pimchanok Pawathikul – 3rd Place Informative Speaking (State Qualifier)
Rudra Sharma – 4th Place Informative Speaking (State Alternate)
Luke Liu – Regional Champion, Persuasive Speaking
Sahil Kulkarni – 3rd Place Current Issues & Events (State Qualifier); 4th Place Persuasive Speaking (Alternate)
