On November 11, Veterans Day, we will be honoring the brave men and women who have served our country with a special tribute to share with our students.

We are creating a slideshow to recognize the veterans in our school community and would love to include your family! If you have a family member who is a veteran—a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.—we invite you to share a picture to be included in our presentation.

To participate, please:

Email a picture of your family member who is a veteran to aorr@conroeisd.net

Include the student's name and grade in the email so we can properly associate the photo.

This is a wonderful way for our students to connect with and express gratitude for the sacrifices made by our veterans.

Thank you for helping us make this a memorable and meaningful tribute.

4th grade took a field trip this week to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion to enjoy a performance by the Houston Symphony Orchestra.

Mrs. Schauer's class started learning about the Aztecs this week and how they wore colorful headdresses.

Mrs. Schauer's and Ms. McFadden's class learned about the Mayan people and how harvesting maize (corn) was important to their culture and way of life.
